    Hi everyone.

I promise I'm not looking for business!!!!

    Just advice :-)

I'm a professional musician. It's a great job but 10 months ago I finally admitted to myself that I needed a more effective way to set myself up for the future.

I started reading Steve's books (as well as others) and attending seminars. It seems that property investing suits my personality more than shares and drug dealing (the latter was never a option, just a joke!!).

I'm about to settle on my first house and being a self employed muso, it was hard to get a loan. I learned a lot about the loan process, so decided to get accredited as a Mortgage Broker (AMC), more as way to broaden my options for the future than to fulfil my aspirations of bing a Mortgage Broker. I'm almost ready to write loans, having done all of the accreditaion stuff, I just need to become a member of the MFAA. I also figured that when I start investing in property on a larger scale, it would be a bonus if I could write my own loans.

My reason for posting is that I feel it would be good for me to go to work for and/or be mentored by someone/or a small company that specialises in Investmet Property Mortgages.

I'm just not sure who to approach, and was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion or 2.

I have no experience in the industry, and I know that there are many dodgy brokers out there. I don't really want to start at a bank, although that may be a more realistic option.

I have a friend who is a broker, and a great guy. He has offered to take me on, which I think would be great. I'm just looking for other possible options, especially ones that would help me learn more about loan structures for investors, etc…

I don't want to mess around with a money hungry broker/company. I want to learn the ropes or be mentored by someone who has integrty, a good reputation and who is successful enough to feel comfortable offering advice to a newbie who also wants to be an investor and eventually have enough knowledge to be a decent Mortage Broker providing quality service to other property investors.

    Am I dreaming!!?? :-)

    Any reccommedations?

    Thanks sincerely for reading.

    Cheers,
