For those unfamiliar with Esperance it is a beautiful seaside town in the extreme south-west of WA – close-ish to the gold and nickel mining heartland of Kalgoorlie.
I was actually on the cusp of puting in an offer for a house there until I saw this article. I dont want to sound insensitive because it is a potentially serious health issue though the article is a bit vague as to the extent of the problem. Nonetheless investment decisions are made objectively so I think its ok to discuss.
Does anyone understand what the potential implications could be with respect to real estate in the town?
