Hey there people, Does anyone know how much cement sheets cost? I might be looking to renovate a timber home and wanted to strip it back to the frame and put cement sheets on it and then render it.

Anyone know how they are sold?
    where they are sold?
and most importantly how much does the material cost?

    thanks in advance

    Hi Property Passion

    Cement sheeting

    villaboard – 6.57/m2
    blueboard – 9.22/m2
    hardiflex – 4.20/m2

The sheets are sold in various lenghts up to 3600. Widths of 900 & 1200. All depending on which sheet your using.

There sold at the local builders yards.

Render/ texture coating – all depends on the surface prep and application/finish reqiured – allow mat & lab of 38-55/m2

Scaffolding – site specific, average low set home on flat ground – $250-400/wk

    Hope this helps PP.

Also on the costings – depends on your area and account price.

    regards

another way of cladding a timber framed home and rendering it, is by using foam.

we just finished building a house that had it done and it looks unreal.
you get it in large sheets and just tack it on to the timber frame with special nails

its light (no bad backs), cheap and gives you great insulation. its like a big esky!

    hope this helps

A cheaper option is put chicken wire nailed over the weather boards and render over the top , I have seen this done a couple of times.
If you just cement sheet the insulation might be poor.
