No no forum or detailed stuff. However, I do need someone who can “write up” the web site, not just put it on the net. My brother is actually a web master and had his own domain, but he has no idea about what kind of information to put into the website and this is what I need help with.

This is despite my wish to simply give the designer the information and let them design it. After all I dealt eith a firm who advertised as website designers.
Maybe it is because I have an individualistic (read pigheaded) bent, but nothing that he came up with looked quite like what I wanted. So I designed the whole thing on WORD with pictures, captions the lot and let him build it. Anything I let him do, I had to rehash afterwards.
The fellow was a young man who was into computers and I found it difficult to talk to him. I am not a computer I guess.

Giddothat’s what Im finding now, people that are into computers do not necissarily know how to market your business on the web. I don’t know who would?

I use both of them regularly for information and resources. Be a little careful with sitesell if you sign up as you can get a lot of business mail from people wanting to link up on your site.

There are a number of “build it yourself” site support systems around – all are terrific and v. easy to use (you don’t have to be a techie). In the time it takes you to brief a designer, you could have your site up and running and change it as often as you want.
