Hi there Redwing, forgive my ignorance but what is an HDT Accountant?
Had a very good accountant in Perth when I lived there some years back although when i was renting out my house while living in the goldfeilds.
Name is Alan Hawke CPA, 10 Grosvenor Road Mount Lawley, WA 6050. Not sure if he is still there.

    Hi

I have had the same trouble finding a savvy accountant and the way I went about it was to contact Destiny Solutions office in Perth (they help people investing in positive cashflow property as well as doing different seminars). I have no personal experience with this company but they were very helpful and asked their clients, who mainly invests in these types of property, which accountant they use.

I have spoken to this accountant and he did make a very good impression over the phone but because I live in Bunbury I have since managed to find a local accountant that I am currently using.

    Contact details:
    Murray Fisher
    Parry Street
    Easth Perth
    Phone: 93285044

    Hope this helps

    All the best

I am looking for one too… if you do a search under Forum Boards and type in ‘perth accountant’ and choose search in ‘subject only’ there are a few posts that have some recommendations.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Redwing

I have one question for everyone, Why do people need to see their accountant face to face? My accountant is in Melbourne and I live in sunny Brisvagas. I would not know him if I passed him in the srteet, but he has saved me many, many dollars while I have been using him.

The point I’m trying to make is “Your accountant is your employee. Does it matter where he/she works as long as they do a great job.”

    Something to think about anyway.

    I agree Cata..

My Mortgage Broker is in Canberra and i live in Perth..distance is not an issue nowadays..

However, back when I first posted this I was looking for someone I could sit down and talk to in Perth regarding HDT’s and the ins and outs, since then I’ve recieved a lot of help from yourself and others on several of the issues and I’ve read Ed Burtons and Dale GG’s book..both have some great information and insights in relation to trusts , asset protection and structures..
