    Hi all,

I have become aware of a council about to auction some land that has $4000 worth of rates owing. I was thinking of doing a title search and trying to track the owner and buy direct from him before the auction. Has anyone tried this before or think this is a good idea?

    Thanks

    Luke…

It is probably being autioned as the owner can’t be located or contatced or is not willing to sell to pay for it.

Could always try though I guess???

i was able to find the contact details of a property owner thru another local authority, the c.f.a. So,with a valid enough reason (other than to buy their land) there may be another way to find the owner, thru another contact.

    Hi Misty,

You mentioned the cfa, Do you mean the Country Fire Authority? For what reason did you ask for the owners contact details.

    Thanks

    Luke…
