I checked out the Investment Expo in Melbourne today – loads of handouts, some quite good, especially for newbies like me. (Even had free pens, frizbies, lollies, balls, magazines etc…) I came home loaded down with goodies with info from the Tax Department, depreciation property info, tenant insurance details and the list goes on – [:P]
There is property investing, franchise and general investing info.
You can even get a discount voucher in The Age, save yourself $5[^]
It only took me a little over an hour to check it all out – worth it though[:D]

    Hi bjb,

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering if it was worth the effort of going and it’s good to know that you thought it was worth your while.

    Keep smiling,

    Sue [:)]

It’s on at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, just near Crown Casino. Entry price is $13.00 or only $8.00 if you get a voucher out of The Age. It’s open from 10.00 – 6.00 finishes today – Sunday 19th. Enjoy[:D]
