    Hi Pinky

I have to say being oneself is the best thing any one can be.

Having said that there is a time and place for everything. There are many chat rooms around etc to be your self, but when in Rome do as the Romans do.

This is a Property and Investing forum and in my opinion for those serious about obtaining information and networking contacts..

When I wana be myself and be the clown etc, then I go to a chat room or go out to a party.

    Regards Bear

    Bear,

Your obviously NOT an honest person then !.
If you change in the presents of other people then your playing a role to be accepted by the people you are talking to. I hate fake people.

You like being yourself, so be yourself.

Pinky has always been HONEST with her opinions, she doesnt try to be accepted by the crowd, she doesnt speak shit, she tells it as it is.

People that change to be accepted by the crowd are sorryful pieces of dis-honest garbage. Be yourself and cut out the crap.

    Hi Bear & all,

    What a great post!

For now on, how about we all, (including me) make a real effort to only post about things that will REALLY benefit someone, and when we do, that we speak to each other in a courteous manner, whether we agree with their opinion or not.[:I]

There are nice ways of pointing out differing opinions, and then there are rude and insulting ways, [B)] like a few posts especially this week. Lets all put those posts to rest….

We all put up with enough stress at work.[:(]

This will make this the BEST property forum around again. There is so much great FREE advise here, it’s a shame if others are turning away from it.

New look forum, new look forumites,[;)]
    How does that sound?
Feel free to comment – nicely of course…

    Regards,

    Hi Bear1964
I am a natural born tormentor, When I was at work I tormented and whereever I go I am who I am.
I have always sung at work and no boss has ever been able to stop I have always provided riddles to people too!

It seems a natural extension to bring myself to the forum. I keep it to forum fun and this allows me to get to know people in a way. People who talk in that forum and tell jokes ask information about each other is a valuable resource in networking. The more you know the better you feel asking questions.

And forming relationships is what it is all about isn’t it. I try not to put people down in my replies if I don’t agree and seeings I am still new to the forums I do not post alot in other sections as I am not as knowlegable as many of the people out there.

As long as a person is not offensive, agressive or rude then we are surely able to tolerate each other and utilise each other. We want to know about each other and enjoy ourselves too!

Ok Bear how about a riddle?

    Hi Arty

Thanks for your reply and your opinion.

May I ask you this question?

Lets assume you like fishing, and you were fishing with a group of fishing buddies in a area put aside for fishing only and you were catching beyond your bag limits achieving your goals and having a great time. A group of people being themselves come along and start throwing stones in the water to scare the fish away. Then a group of jet ski’s come in to the area where its not intended for them to be, it’s a fishing only area and they start running amuck and the fish are now gone completely. Does that make them honest and you dishonest? Are you being dishonest if you tell them you don’t like their behaviour? Even though you might like playing with jets skies yourself don’t make your dishonest if you want to fish does it?

I hope this helps put things in some perspective?

If not well that’s ok, and well be yourself by all means I wouldn’t expect anything else from anyone.

    Hi Wilandel,

    Well said!

    However when you say

    quote:

make a real effort to only post about things that will REALLY benefit someone

Can warning people and telling them to be cautious, be benefitial? I think so, but what do you think?

If you are about to buy a newish property and I tell you to check for termites and you tell me: “Oh don’t be so negative, this is a newish home “. and then find out later that the house is full of them. Would my warning have been benefitial to you? It sure would have! (and yes termites can find there way into a house within a year or two!)

What I am trying to say is “Accept the warings and the coutions” when they come and instead of labeling peope as “NEGATIVE”. Lets discuss it in a courteous manner.

    Hi Pin,

    I totally agree with you!!

Sounds like due diligence, rather than being negative to me.

“Negative” to me, is putting people down, or saying “it can’t be done”, and not listening openly to others trying to explain that it can.

Due diligence is very important. I’d definately like everyone to explain to me, or newish investors the hazards that perhaps they or I can’t see, but I was just getting tired of people saying that “it can’t be done anymore” or things like that.

All I’d like is those sceptics out there (nothing wrong with being sceptical), to ask more questions on “how it can be done” not merely state “it is now impractical, or can’t be done”.

Lets all keep an open mind,
    and keep a great forum,

    Thanks,

    Del

    Bear,

I have had time to cool off..

    We aint Fishing here.. [:)]

The point was we need to be aware of the positive and negative cases. We cant simply look through rose colored glasses.

Look at the current bubble burst.. if you buy now at a high price.. the bubble bursts and house prices drop.. then your +ve geared investment may turn -ve, due to the fact your loan repayments may go higher, but the rent may not due to the value of your property dropping..

It a risk we all need to be aware of.

Pinky has now lost the drive for +ve gearing and this web site. So my partner in life, is not in favour of this technique. That leave me with no options apart from simple browsing through here for investment tips. We are now only looking for our PPOR to get our feet securely planted.

    Arty.
