I was hoping Gillard would stay as Prime Minister so that the Australian people can throw them out. Either way lets return to a strong Liberal government

This was the most random thing ever.

KRUDD thinks he's a hero double talking everyone, thank goodness we got rid of Crean, and Julia, keeps on keeping on.

    Dear Governor General,

Are you able to fast forward to election?

    Cheers

Yep, it was certainly a weird day here in Canberra.

When it was first announced, the odds for K Rudd to become PM were at $1.30 and Gillard was at $6.00. I also learnt today that you can bet on politics :-)

    Cheers

I believe after today, and i'm not saying that they weren't before, but it's totally apparent now that the labor government is no longer about the people they represent. It's about who is in what position within the party. They have completely lost touch with every Australian citizen and what could/should/would benefit our nation. I'm not a liberal voter but geepers, I've had enough. I won't vote for Tony Abbott though. They need Malcolm Turnbull at the helm there I believe.

Disappointing day in both politics & for Australia. Embarrassing actually.

I absolutely agree Derek, as clearly the majority of Australians do. Under the circumstances, it seems a criminal injustice that we must continue enduring the pain they inflict upon us all on a daily basis. And to top it off we had to finance the silly games they played yesterday. I wonder how many useless hours all the participants wasted in preparation for the comic farce?

The problem is that this is the worst government in Australian history. The make Gough Whitlam look like a brilliant man. Please for the sake of our country please call an election.

You never know your luck with the upcoming no confidence motion (although I doubt it will get up).

I don't see anywhere on my ballot an option to select 'no confidence' against all of the running parties or the entire system of government as it currently stands… That is the real problem.

I call bullsh*t on the whole show, and vote Terryw for emperor! haha

Perhaps we could get Monty Brewster (Richard Pryor from Brewster’s Millions)! :)
