I don't have access to Excel, but what sort of software do you use to keep track of your investments (rental expenses, income, etc)??? Trying to collate everything together now for tax time; & it's becoming very congested with paperwork everywhere. Happy to pay for good software – any recommendations?

I recently shifted to Rent Master – I reviewed several to make that decision including Property Pro, POSH, Clarkes, Console and a couple of others (with an open mind & budget). Good value for money

    Cairns Investor,
Excel is OK as long as you improve your basic spreadsheet each year. Its hard to beleive you haven't access to it. You can usually get a free download of spreadsheets off the internet that are very similar to Excel or get it very cheap from a shop or …. you know.
Above suggestion by Scott is probably the best choice, but just have a check on prices, they can vary dramatically for specialised software.

    WJ, the packages vary –

Rent Master:small user (15 properties) is sub-$135 up to unlimited $450 AUD, most private users would cost up to $225
    POSH – about $400
    Property Pro – about $150
    Clarke – >$2000
    Progenisis – $10K+

No cost option is to use google docs

    Hi all,
I've been looking for some software as well
have you seen Excel Australia?  this is what they claim on the website
I am wondering if anyone has used the product? If so are you happy with it?
Cost is $150 with updates for 1 year and then $99 after that

    thanks

Excel Australia is the company that has written and developed the Rental Workbook.

The Rental Workbook was developed in 2001 in response to the growing need for a simple, easy-to-use program that helps investment property owners keep track of their investment property. Most of our customers don't want to use complicated accounting software or other technical software packages – that's why they love the simplicity and power of The Rental Workbook.
