"OPM" means Other People's Money

You might have heard of OPM before. It is quite a common acronym that stands for Other People's Money. It typically refers to the normal finance for an investment property.

This money is usually sourced from people's savings that are invested with a bank or lending institution. The bank pays interest on deposits and then lends out the money to investors and borrowers at a higher rate and profits the difference.

It is also possible to use other people's money for your deposit. Deposit bonds are something that you can use to protect your capital during the settlement period.

You can also try to source a money partner and set up a joint venture to fund a deal. For example, you could create a nothing down deal by contributing the knowledge and seeking someone else's money.

The opportunities to be creative are infinite... and when you do things differently you gain access to the world of big returns for relatively low risk.
