How do you name the Granny Flat???

I have a granny flat at the back of a property.

Does anyone know the legal way to 'name' the granny flat?

For example: Flat 1 / 26, ... St,...
OR 26A,.... St....???

Thanks in advance.

I have called mine 100A, keeping the front house as 100. Seems to work ok, no confusion from anyone.

Cheers,
Luke

Flat Granny, Geriatric St, Wrinkleton.

Actually, council may have a preference but it won't matter to the postie as long as he can relate letter address to letterbox. I also prefer A's and B's for dual occupancy.

I've called mine "God's waiting room" but seriously 1 & 1a works for me. If all else fails, there is information on the Austpost website.

I am opinionated. Take me at face value, read between the lines.
