Is it possible to seel your house via a lottery ticket?

Hi All,

I'm interested to know is it possible to sell your house similar to how Lifesaving Australia sell their new homes via a lottery ticket method?

Absolutely you can (if we are talking about Australia) give your place away as a prize in a lottery, however you need to check the applicable laws in your state in regards to lotteries.

Prize pools over a certain $ value ($500 i think)  need to abide by certain laws. 

Im in Brisbane, I wonder if there are any users here that done that very same thing, would be interesting to hear from them if they have!

I have looked into similar things.

You will need to speak to Racing, Gaming and Liquor in your state.

You will need licenses in states you wish to conduct the lottery in. Some states do not require a license, most do.

You will need to hire a solicitor to draft the lottery terms and conditions.

You may need to hire an accountant to draw the lottery. This is the case with any random competition.

What about using premium sms to get people to enter the lottery. Like a $10 premium number. I've got PSMS experience if you need some help.
