Dean Parker's Reno Master ClassRhys_Roberts [34 Posts] Hello, Every time I log in I see a huge ad to the right of my screen for "Dean Parker". Question: How many informative posts has that man left on this forum? Who here knows the man? Surely he would have to be a regular forum contributor... how else can we ascertain whether or not he is knowledgeable and worthy of our hard earned money. I may be cynical but I found it interested that his "Reno Kit" was only going to be available for sale AFTER HIS SEMINARS. Sounds like he wants to be paid TWICE. Question: Has Steve been posting much information lately on how we are to make money in the current property market or is he busy promoting seminars? I am NOT criticizing... just curious. Please advise. Rhys_Roberts [34 Posts] Question regarding the "Freebies" If the average book written by the most knowledgeable person on earth can be bought anywhere for around $30 how can an "action list template" be worth $1,000.00????!!! I regularly phone several Queens Counsel's for advice and have never been charged anything - let alone $1,000.00 for a template. I don't even know of a surgeon or Professor who would charge that for a pre-prepared action list or template. Steve McKnight provided action lists and templates for free in his books. Maybe the inflation rate is a lot higher than I realize. Any thoughts? I didn't see this guy on the BRW list... did you? Action List Planning on managing multiple deals? Then you must use this template to help you co-ordinate all your projects and retain full control. $999sniffer [4 Posts] hi rhys god_of_money [207 Posts] Woww.. it must be a ripped off deal... sniffer [4 Posts] hmmm newbi2 not beening narky. its called due diligance. roslynnchalwell... [50 Posts] If you're unsure you can always ring Steve McKnights office and ask for more details. I have met Dean and Elise and they are walking the talk. They started off doing renos in their spare time, now it is a successful fulltime career. They are down to earth people and have perfected templates that have helped them become very succcessful property investors. Like Steve they impart knowledge that has been tried and tested. stargazer [376 Posts] Why is commonsense knowledge always have a cost attached to it. If you go around and notice people renovating stop by and have a chat the information they impart is amazing and at NO CHARGE. Its just another way of making money, thats all, these people get a taste via there own investments then milk it. If you feel you need to pay to get the knowledge you will pay as always no gurantees of success of course. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways Beer in one hand - Pizza in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO!" god_of_money [207 Posts] Hei SG... I agree with you.... Valuing template for more than A$4000 ????? SteveMcKnight [1585 Posts] Hi, It's good to ask questions and I always encourage it. First up, with the start of the latest RESULTS program, a lot of my time is being spent writing materials and answering questions of late. You will notice though that I did a short 5 min video about my thoughts on the current property market. I'm also making good on some long awaited promises in terms of writing the content for the Advanced MasterClass pack. Aside from that, I have a number of property projects on the go and they are keeping me busy too. No point writing about investing if I am not doing it myself! Finally, in terms of Dean's seminar - I understand concerns about value of 'paper as such' I mean the real cost of an A4 sheet is about 5 cents in paper and maybe 2 cents in ink. But if the knowledge on that paper can help you make $10,000, or save you from disaster then it is worth a lot more. I see it as the cost of eductaion. $695 is pretty reasonable for a one day seminar, and the templates are free bonus items. I'll be at the Melbourne seminar with a pen and notepad as I'll be keen to learn from Dean. His systems make a lot of money and those who come along will be in for a treat. Thanks for the post and all the best. Steve McKnight Final 2008 Seminar reveals how to profit from uncertainty: Dean & Elise [8 Posts] Hi All, I thought I add a quick post in relation to some of the queries people have. As for our background, my wife Elise and I were both full time IT employees and had only dabbled in property when we attended Steve's Master Class in August 2004. Loaded with the information learnt on that day and a burning desire to create a better lifestyle for ourselves we took serious action and have since renovated 27 properties and are currently renovating 11. We now run a property renovation and development business full time and do a mix of renovating, subdividing and developing. Elise has spent months fine tuning the content for the upcoming seminars and we really hope you can attend because they are essentially 5 years of experience rolled into one information packed day. In relation to our product the Renovation Toolbox, we had 72 copies of it available when I spoke at Steve’s 3 day mega conference earlier this year. We sold out during the event and there ended up being some people who missed out on their copy. To my knowledge everyone that missed out has at least been sent a copy of the Renovation Control Spreadsheet (which forms the main basis behind the detailed budget we perform on our projects) and is getting the new version of the product at the same price. PropertyInvesting.com stopped taking orders for the product after the weekend. Elise and I are still putting the finishing touches on the new version which will be even more comprehensive and hope to have it released not long after the first seminar in Melbourne. There was also an enquiry on not being able to find a property in Ballarat over $250k. I live in Ballarat and this surprised me so I did a quick search on www.realestate.com.au and as I write this post, there are 143 properties for sale with a price tag of $400k or more. I can confirm that we’re not on the BRW list but are doing our best to get there one day! I hope to see you at one of our seminars and in any case, best of luck with your investing. Dean & Elise Parker. Kind Regards, Dean Parker. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. The Chaser [14 Posts] Dean & Elise wrote:

Hi Dean I was just wondering if it is possible to pre-order (or pre-register) for a copy of the new version of your Renovation Toolbox due out in August? Angela god_of_money [207 Posts] Hi Dean/Steve, Let me clarify this...This is NOT an insult... just a feedback. I guess that the way you advertised your seminar is by saying "cost education of A$695" and in return "you will get education on renovation etc.. PLUS the value of freebies valued at more than A$4000" But, the way your advertisement run seems that it has been misleading the customer.. Thank you Cheers BuilderBob [111 Posts] Like many I have no clue about the guy, but if he wants to win peoples trust why not give us all a "taste" what he is offering. As stagazer posted " Why is commonsense knowledge always have a cost attached to it. " There are many forums floating about with people who are willing to share/help for free , some most likely with far more experience then Dean.
Realty Tube Australia Renovating, yarpos [249 Posts] But BuilderBob , your perspective comes from the view of a capable person in the business. People who dont have the skills or experience and want to learn, and dont want to take years to catch up, are willing to pay for the brain dump. The cost of developing and presenting a course in a professional way is non trivial, so its going to cost. Perceptions of value vary, for you its not of much value so the costs seem high, to someone with ambitions but no experience it may be a gem. BuilderBob [111 Posts] yarpos wrote:

Yes I can see your point , but still I cannot possibly see the value as each reno/purchase is different and there is no possible way to cover all in a crash course. With out Dean actually giving some examples of what he's trying to sell it all seems a little fishy to me honestly.
