Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this info.

Recently I bought a property and a few days later sold a property. This was purely coincidental.

As it turned out both contracts were dated the same date. When I applied for finance the bank manager said I could just transfer the loan from one house to the other.

He told me this is cheaper than taking out a loan for the new property.

I hadnt known this before that you could do this

If you have a purchase contract that is within about 30 days, most banks will transfer the security as you describe.

Cheers
