Hi all

I'm looking to get some details of a good property solicitor in Brisbane (I live North Brisbane) for conveyancing/contracts etc. Looking to do some lease options and hopefully, flips, minor developments and wraps. It would be good to have someone who specialises in this area to help me avoid potential pitfalls!

Cheers

Hi Nev

Send me an email - I tend to like to keep my referrals private where possible.

I have done literally dozens of these sorts of deals myself personally in Brissie so let me now if you have any questions.

Very few Solicitors have any idea as soon as you mention the word Wrap.

Thanks for getting back to me gents.

Richard (Qlds007 )- Thank you. I'll think of some intellegent questions(!) that you may be able to clarify for me. Would be great to bounce some questions/ideas off someone who has done multiple and varied transaction in Qld before.

I'm a newbie here and don't want to cross the line - should I call, post on this site or email you!

Eddiec- I'll shoot you an email when I get home.

Cheers

Nev

You need to be able to give clear instructions to your solicitor as to what you want. Saying "wrap " doesn't really mean anything. Do you mean sale with lease option allowing rebate for rental paid towards purchase price? Do you mean Rental at an inflated price where the excess is forfeited on default of the buyer, or lost in the mortgagee repo on the seller? Do you mean a tenancy with a put/call option attached.

To be honest my eyes would glaze over if I was a solicitor and a client came in asking for a "wrap"

My answer would be :"chicken or Thai beef?"

Thanks for trying to confuse the issue but my Instructions were pretty clear........ "I'm looking to get some details of a good property solicitor in Brisbane "......... so I can discuss the finer details of potential transactions.

Thanks to those that have been constructive and helped.

Thanks for your 'contructive comments' cu@thetop -  I'll have the chicken and  beef combo please.
