Hi to all the spruikers who think this is a great way to plug their business in finding 1000's of CF+ properties or how to buy their property with super or whatever other drivel you have,

PLEASE POST SOMEWHERE ELSE

I am sure I am not alone in getting annoyed when reading a post about something legitimate and finding in the middle a big load of rubbish advertising.

If you understand some of the rules and have something decent to contribute not just spam then please put your business in your signature (especially if you are legit!).

Yes I am in a huff!

Advertise in your signature, not in random posts throughout the forum and you may get some credibility.

I have about 16k in super so really I think the answer to your question is ummm ME!

Hmmm.... That's still doable, if you wanted to get yourself a really basic, small, and tiny investment home out in whoop whoop.  Something that was about 70 grand.  If it was me, I'd still be looking to use it to it's potential if I could.

Otherwise, not so much you! Unless you were nearing 60, then I'd have HEAPS to say.

Having 1 or 2 postings and then flogging your business usually get ignored by me and why put it in multiple forum lists.

Comments are of a general nature and may not be relevant to your individual circumstances. If you intend making any investment, financial or taxation decision you should consult a professional adviser.

I think my annoyance threshold was very short yesterday. It seemed like every thread I looked in had BS advertising in the middle, irrelevant to the topic.

Grr

Why duckster? Cuz I originally came with the intent to flog my business. And then got interested in other conversations. :)

My Bad.

At least you have brains enough to try and make amends rather than burning your business name with everyone on here.

I don't see why people get so upset by this sort of thing. You can rest assured that anyone advertising on hear will be ripped to shreds if what they are offering is not up to standard. Why not let them put themselves up for scrutiny?

Thanks! Just went through a whole nother thread filled with utter rubbish advertising. Who really uses these sucker products? And having a couple ID's agreeing with each other.....doesn't make me buy it!

Maybe the people running this forum could create a "BS" section specifically for spruikers to post in.  Our NZ site, Property Talk, has a special section called "caveat emptor" where the spruikers can post deals to their hearts content!!!

Just a thought .....

Great idea, there are spruikers posting the same  thing under multiple topics.
also, this section could be used by members selling CD's, books or second hand investment related products, even property they wish to sell.

Hey, why not.  I'd use it.

Just cuz people are selling something doesn't mean they're not useful.

Hopefully the "Powers That Be" are paying attention and can start up another section for selling goodies of all types on!!

Agreed - too much 'soft spam' is flying under the radar.

But you can help us! At the bottom right of each post is an 'angry' face. Click that and it will report the post as spam and we will investigate.

- Steve
