I just bought a new printer and I took my cartridge down to my local refiller only to be told that this particle cartridge ( made by a printer company begining with L) Could not be refilled due to the company putting in a chip that would lock up the printer if the cartridge was refilled.

I have always had my cartridges refilled in the past for three good reasons,

1, It saves me money.

2, It saves fossil fuels that other wise be used to manufacture and transport a new cartridge from the other side of the world,

3, It also helps local employment and help Australias trade balance.

I think Cartridges that have this chips and devices that prevent the refilling of them should be Banned.

If you also think this practice by the printer companies is wrong please sign the internet petition to the federal government on the link below.
