Beware of 'CUNA MUTUAL GROUP' landlord insurance !Clive Guidi [1 Posts] !!! BEWARE OF CUNA MUTAL GROUP for LANDLORD INSURACE, WHAT A SCAM !!! I have unfortunately just had to submit a claim for (landlord) insurance with my insurer CUNA Mutal Group. (What a nightmare!) After months of stuffing me around and requesting more details about my Jewellery (Obviously someone else’s claim) I've finally been told that they will not cover loss of rent even though that’s why I got the insurance for. CUNA have a maximum cap for what they will pay out for loss of rent of around 6 weeks (less an excess) but will deduct this from the Bond amount regardless of what the bond is used for, in my case it was used to clean up rubbish and damage caused by the tenant. I told the representative at CUNA that they are the only insurer I know that would still claim a bond amount if there was no bond amount left. If all they do is transfer me my own bond amount I could have done it myself, what is the insurance for ?. I explained that their insurance actually COVERS NOTHING being that most bonds are greater than the 6 week rent - excess, they said they hear this a lot from customers (Surprise Surprise). I'm now cancelling my other 4 policies with them and URGE anyone taking out their landlords insurance to BE AWARE ! Unlike ever other insurer they don't actually cover anything !!! !!! BEWARE OF CUNA MUTAL GROUP for LANDLORD INSURACE, WHAT A SCAM !!! I would like to know if anyone else had a simular experience with them ? I'm interested in taking legal action if anyone else is interested ? |
